In this Sequence 12, we will examine the ‘link between the commitment plan and the annual work plan’.

The Annual Work Plan provides exhaustive information on the nature and phasing of tasks, as well as the monthly timetable for implementing a structure’s activities.

Defining the costs of the various tasks inherent in each activity is a crucial stage in the process of drawing up a Commitment Plan. In effect, it enables the resources needed to carry out each of the activities in the AWP to be determined, and provides a profile of credit consumption requirements.

In order to be used in drawing up the Commitment Plan, the Annual Work Plan must show a monthly breakdown of activities. To this effect, it is the responsibility of each structure to fill in the dedicated section of the task completion timetable.

From this sequence, you should remember that the Annual Work Plan feeds into the Sectoral Commitment Plan by providing it with the monthly expenditure forecasts for implementing the programmes of the ministry or administration concerned.
